OUR OBJECTIVES

Since its founding as a registered not-for-profit organization, Raag-Mala has established unto itself three main objectives:

• To promote and preserve Indian Classical Music in Canada.

• To encourage and provide a forum for talented and developing artists of Indian classical music in Canada.

• To share Indian heritage with fellow Canadians and spread the appreciation throughout cultures.

Raag-Mala constantly explores new and innovative ways to share Indian classical music with other cultural bodies, not simply as Indian cultural heritage but as a rich culture for humankind.

To achieve the above goals, Raag-Mala organizes high quality programmes with the participation of internationally acclaimed artists. It also has held seminars, workshop, and demonstrations on Indian classical and other forms of music and culture by involving musicologists and musicians.
